Description
Enjoy an outdoor garden luncheon in the Russian River Wine Country for 10 Guests!
Beginning at 11am you will gather with your friends at Iron Horse Vineyards to sip on delicious champagne in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking the vineyards.
Afterwards, you will travel to Forestville (only a few minutes away) where Maureen Buick will host lunch in her garden accompanied by local Russian River wines.
After lunch, during dessert, there will be a demonstration on Canning 101. We will utilize local produce from the garden and the Sonoma County area. Everyone will bring home samples of these summer preserves along with easy instructions to try on your own!
Did you know that during WWII, Americans planted over 20 million Victory Gardens and canned their own fruits and vegetables? Come join us as we take a journey back in time when everyone chipped in to help with the war effort. All you are required to do is sit back, relax and breath in the fresh country air– surrounded by friends with a glass of wine or favorite beverage in hand!
Hosted by Amanda Sargisson and Maureen Buick Available late July, August, or early September 2022– when produce and fruit are ripe and the temperatures are warm.
Date will be set by mutual agreement between auction item purchaser and hostesses. Prefer mid-week, but we are flexible!
Transportation is on your own. Forestville and Iron Horse are about 1.5 hours from San Francisco, depending on traffic.
